Andalucía is the southernmost, autonomous Spanish region and is famous for its beautiful nature and culture. Think of cities like Seville, Cadiz, Cordoba, Ronda, Granada and Malaga with their Moorish influences. Estepona is so central that all these places can be done as a daytrip.

Summary: Pros: It was lovely to see and hear the sea. Apartment right on the sea front with doors from both lounge and bedroom. Plenty of hot water and good shower, comfy beds (think need some new bed linen), abundance of towels. Some bars below, very friendly staff and a great new restaurant Aire, reasonably priced. .. just underneath our apartment. Lift goes to zero, street level with Carrefour a short walk away or -2 comes out between bars right on to the promenade into town A small but adequate kitchen with some condiments left, salt and pepper, olive oil, coffee. Small deep freeze compartment in fridge. Never troubled with noise from bars The host was very welcoming and answered our queries almost immediately (had a little trouble with TV and she was round straight away to sort out). Cons: We can’t walk so far and it was just a bit far from town for us. Probably fine for someone younger and fitter. A very pleasant walk in other direction along the coast leading to a nice green area with sculptures and a water wheel Minor niggle … only one toilet roll and we were there for a month. No shower or hair shampoos
